A Riverboat Journey Aboard The Randle.
Take time away from the fast-lane of 21th century life and transport yourself back in time to the slow pace of the canal and river era, the “Belle Epoque”. Like a parallel world lost in time that still exists in France, but you will need find it to discover its secrets.
An icon of canal travel is the life bridge, or “Pont Levis” as it slowly raises, as it has been doing for the past 190 years, to let the Randle pass on its way to our destination.

Viewed from the canal the magnificent chateau Faulin nestles in the Burgundy countryside, a space it has occupied for over 500 years, once defending its occupants from intruders it now makes a beautiful backdrop as we cruise through the valley.

Vineyards come into view, as we continue our journey, a fine Burgundy pinot noir has been produced locally for generations and is served aboard the Randle, just five miles from barrel to boat.
