End of the Day Reflections

An Italian Vignette

Charming Italian Vignette
These two companion paintings were painted by the newish painter , Sara, who just completed her third Painting Trip with me and En Plein Air with Virginia Fergus.
Sara really turned a corner this year with her painting and created several pieces showcasing her emerging style. I’m so proud of her!
Sara has also completely fallen in love with Italy!

Sara in The Groove
Traveling to paint has formed and informed my life in ways I could have never anticipated. My personal experience with the transformative power of traveling to paint fuels my desire to share this incredible experience with others.
I am so grateful for the enthusiastic and engaged group who jumped in and painted with heart and came away with a Dream Come True for themselves!

Mother-Daughter Trip

Painting at Villa Medici
Julie and Hannah, mother and daughter, traveled together and jumped right into watercolor Plein air painting. Both were complete beginners! And both made some incredible paintings! I think these two are Plein Air Watercolor Painting converts and I anticipate seeing them both again on another Painting Adventure!

Totally Engrossed in Plein Air Magic

Painting from the Olive Orchard

Icons of Florence
Bravery, boldness, exploration, revelation, creativity, fun, joy, relationships, excitement, beauty, stimulation, and wonder are some of the words that come to mind when I reflect on our time together painting en Plein air in Tuscany.
Lisa embraced all our experiences with joy and enthusiasm and brought so much life to every day. Plus, she made the big transition from oil painting to watercolor and had a great breakthrough. “Energetic” drawing and painting, one of my techniques for loosening up and letting your self shine through in your paintings, was just the thing for Lisa. So happy for her and glad her artistic journey had a boost on this trip.

Lovely article, Ginny. It’s really nice to see some of your own as well as your tour participants’ work. I’ve forwarded the post to a painter friend.
Thanks Magrit! I’m glad you enjoyed it and my work. And thanks for passing it on to your friend who might be interested. Hope you are having a good summer!
