With so many places in the world to travel, how do you choose?
With so many places to visit in Italy, how do you choose?
With so many tours and retreats available, how do you choose?
If you’re airing out your suitcase and updating your passport, what kind of adventure are you looking for to ease back into international travel?
Here at Slow Travel Tours, we all cater to personalized, smaller groups with less movement than other hop-on-a-bus-and-see-14-cities-in-14-days tours. Slow Travel is all about getting to know a place, becoming part of the fabric of the community. At Adventures in Italy, the chosen place is Orvieto.
This medieval town is the perfect home for Adventures in Italy. Perched on volcanic tufa rock, Orvieto provides sweeping views of the iconic Italian countryside, dotted with cypress trees. The Orvietani are lovely, welcoming people, many of whom speak English and are happy to practice it with you! Our artists love to sketch, paint, and stitch everything they see and experience; windows, doors, cats, buildings, wine bottles, fruit, and, of course, the view!
A week with Adventures in Italy strikes a balance between art and culture. Guests explore their creativity with their chosen artist, and learn about the rich history of Orvieto through tours, cooking, and sampling the food and wine of the region.
Adventures in Italy participants are solo travellers, couples, and friends. Drawn together to create, bound together by shared experiences in this magical place. We have both artists and guests who have returned for a second trip, or more!
Orvieto is half way between Rome and Florence, which makes it the perfect beginning or end spot of your trip. Now booking for 2022 adventures!
