Planning Your Time
Rome is brimming with history and experiences waiting to be discovered. Here’s what you shouldn’t miss during your mini-stay in the city:
- Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel – Book an early morning or night tour to dodge the crowds. Get your tickets in advance.
- Explore the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, and the Pantheon—iconic ancient sites you have to see. It’s so much better to go with a guide to see this area.
- Villa Borghese – Stroll through Rome’s third-largest park, once a vineyard and now a beautifully landscaped oasis. Don’t miss the Galleria Borghese, home to works by Bernini, Raphael, and Caravaggio.
You could spend 3 nights on a mini-stay in Rome or 30. There is so much to see in this busy metropolis. We recommend flying in and out of Rome when coming with us on an all-women tour along the Amalfi Coast.
