This summer and fall we couldn’t get enough of Polish wine! Starting in June 2019 we attended the Bialo Czerwone Polish Wine Festival in Warsaw. Top winemakers from various regions of Poland descended on Warsaw to share their wines with attendees who gladly spent two days at Forteca Kregliccy, meeting them and tasting everything from sparkling wine, to Rose, orange wine, whites and reds.
In August 2019 we traveled to Jaslo, in Subcarpathia region of Poland to attend the annual Wine Days Festival as part of our Five Days with Polish Wine in Subcarpathia and Wine Days Festival wine tour. While in Subcarpathia, we also visited Winnica Widokowa which boasts breathtaking views from it’s hillside location and tasted award winning wines which the Widokowa vineyard winemaker generously shared with us.
September was all about wine harvest festivals. We traveled to Zielona Gora in Lubuskie region of Poland, to part take in Winobranie, the largest wine festival in Poland. This wine harvest festival is very well organized, with lots of exciting activites which include special Winobusy, wine buses, where attendees can take and visit up to three differed vineyards a day for two days during the long weekend wine event.
Another exciting September wine harvest festival we attended was the Winiarze i Przyjaciele Wine Festival held in the capital city of Lower Silesia region, Wroclaw.
If you’re planning a trip to Poland in 2020, please feel invited to join Poland Culinary Vacations on Five Days with Polish Wine tours offered in Lesser Poland, Subcarpathia and Lower Silesia wine regions of Poland. Na zdrowie! – Cheers!
