We’re pleased to welcome the newest member of Slow Travel Tours: Photography Travel Tours, owned by Jim and Magrit Nilsen.
The Nilsens live in the Pacific Northwest, north of Seattle. Jim is a professional photographer specializing in fine art color photography of foreign location; he sells his photographs at Arts & Crafts shows around the USA and to gift galleries nationwide. Magrit is native of Austria who speaks German and Italian and is also a gifted photographer and artist.
The Nilsens started leading tours in 2011 and have focused initially on photography tours in Tuscany and Venice. Their tours are very specific to photography, following the slow travel philosophy of focusing on a specific geographic area. Participants spend the day in the field capturing images and also have classroom time for photo critiques and learning post-processing techniques.
In 2014 the Nilsens will be expanding their offerings to include Croatia, Slovenia, the Dolomites, and the lavender bloom in southern France.
Jim and Magrit will be blogging with us on a regular basis, so be sure to watch for their posts– and photographs– beginning in May.
Welcome Jim, Magrit and Photography Travel Tours to Slow Travel Tours!
